Faculty AI Communication Framework
An evidence-based approach to reducing instructional ambiguity while preserving faculty autonomy.
Faculty Learning Experience
The Faculty Learning Experience is an active, application-based workshop that helps instructors use the framework with their own courses and assignments. Rather than relying on passive policy instruction, the experience gives faculty opportunities to make decisions, revise communication and prepare materials for implementation.
Upon approval and implementation of the Faculty AI Communication Framework, this page will contain the complete workshop outline, facilitator materials, participant worksheets and implementation resources designed to support faculty across disciplines.
This Learning Experience Will Include
Authentic Course Application
Faculty will apply the Decision Guide to an existing course learning objective and assignment. Working with authentic materials allows participants to connect the framework directly to their own instructional context.
Communication Revision and Feedback
Participants will revise existing syllabus or assignment language and exchange structured peer feedback focused on clarity, alignment and how students may interpret the stated expectations.
Implementation-Ready Materials
Faculty will leave the experience with a completed decision process, revised student-facing communication and a practical plan for implementing the framework in an upcoming course.
Purpose of the Faculty Learning Experience
The learning experience builds faculty understanding through guided practice rather than one-way policy communication. It helps instructors apply the framework, receive feedback and produce materials they can use immediately while preserving course-level and disciplinary judgment.
